Kehena & Pizza with the kids

APRIL, 2011

Kehena Beach with its beautiful black sand, its solitary wise tree and its fierce water. Even though many have drown, some swim fearless and play with dolphins in the morning. Respect my water, she said. Surrender to me, do not be afraid …otherwise, I’ll take you with me. Hum… I don’t know if I like that kind of dynamic… I rather stay off the shore. At times, it’s been extremely healing to go in and  surrender… but very scary too…

The energy that’s usually drawn to this beach is at times a little too stagnant for my taste. People intoxicated, drinking, smoking, people with no jobs and depressed often hang out there. It is the only sandy beach around.

This day though, was quite and fun. We spend about 2 hrs on the beach. I was just witnessing their fun, taking pictures and just letting the wind and the flow take over  me.

It is always fun to see others have fun.
