July 20th through July 23rd, 2012
Camping in Ho’okena beach with the girls has never been this fun!
The sun was so intense that in only 2 hours the girls were sunburned! Ouch!
We even rented an umbrella for shade… but the blonde man up there was shining! and it was so hard to keep the girls under the shade!
We rented a double kayak and paddled away, the 4 of us, to see an AMAZING SUN SET
Connection, laughs, sand play & ocean fun.
Our horse friend – Leaving Ho’okena
ON THE WAY HOME THROUGH SOUTH POINT
Although in Hawaii, Honus (turtles) are protected, sometimes people touch them!
We approached a little lava pool where there was a man touching, feeding and pushing a turtle. I became very annoyed, sad and even angry.
I told the man “that is not ok!, you should not touch them!”
He said “ It’s ok, I’m from here”
I said “ that doesn’t give you rights! is that the example you are giving to all these tourists?! .. that is ok to touch them??!”
He got a little scared
We kept walking along the coast and the girls were so supportive
They were feeling it….
Malia said to me “that’s not ok to do! Let’s pray for all the creatures in the ocean! 🙂
and so we did
We sat on the lava rock and prayed
As we walked back holding hands, we discovered 3 sticks on the lava rock
The letter “Y”
then the letter “E”
and a little farther away the letter “S”
Yes! from the Universe to our prayer, to our connection, to our love for all the creatures of the ocean
It was magical moment – Pure magic
