We set on a quest to find the most exquisite native plant of Hawaii, the plant that would help me win the photography contest. We couldn’t find it this time but we sure had the best time!

It is just amazing to me that in the middle of nowhere, where there is no soil, where there is only lava, the Mullein grows so beautifully. IMG_1752
