7th week Road Trip – 6th week

Nov. 23rd through Nov. 29th, 2013

Here we are, probably in one of the coldest places in the US:  Minnesota & Wisconsin.

We flew into Minneapolis, MN and drove to Hudson, WI – about 45 min. We rented an amazing Dodge Charger, wow! That was a spaceship! and so useful those heated seats in this weather! and so crazy fast… I care not about cars but Daniel enjoyed it and so I did for a few days… 🙂

The night we arrived, Daniel and I went to a Glass Art show where the local artist and Dan’s friends were showing their glass art. It was a nice experience for me… at times, but short times, a little boring as Dan would engage in long conversations with these friends… but for the most part, super!

Paulette, Joe, Gary, and us

Daniel’s parents gave us the whole basement of the house. A nice comfortable room with a bathroom and even a living room. We felt pretty much at home.

There was TV around most of the time… something we are not used to… but we felt very welcomed, heard and supported at all times. We talked and shared a lot. We got to really enjoy each other’s company, hence the big box.

We went to lunch to a really super yummy organic restaurant in St. Paul called “Faces” … we got a funny guy for a waiter that started talking about yucky stuff while we were eating but it was just a few seconds… the food was yummy, fresh and how it is supposed to be! 🙂 From there, a visit to the Museum with Mom, Dad and younger brother, Tom.

We saw a movie about the Mayans and the exhibit was “ok”. We enjoyed each other’s company. Mom kept asking Daniel to test the car speed! Hillarous!

We had some vision on some things we wanted to do but our absolute priority was to share with family.
