March 08th – April 2nd, 2015
The last 5 days have been quite challenging. Too much going on at home with work so I felt fragmented and overwhelmed. My mind was so full, meditations were difficult and painful.
I cried tears of fullness to come to a place of emptiness today. We did a 2hr Hatha yoga class with Kia that included an incredible mantra called:
Sat Narayan Wahe Guru Hari Narayan Sat Nam
It is said that this mantra “is chanted to create inner peace so one can project outer peace, happiness and good fortune. Narayan is the aspect of Infinity that relates to the water element. This mantra helps you “go with the flow” and takes you beyond the world to the experience of Infinity”.
It was super powerful, beyond words.
Wow! I can’t believe it took me 13 days to arrive here.. I feel empty today.. what a great feeling! 5 days on the training now.. and today I really feel the “Wahe Guru!” within the cells of my body…
We are waking up at 5am. Starting Sadhana at 6am and pretty much going till 6:30pm with a break here and there, every day. It feels intense and there is much information that’s getting transferred, it seems a bit hard to digest at times.
My stomach has been acting funny. Constipation or too lose .. or pain, gas, cramps.. All the new people I’m meeting, all the knowledge, the new place.. its a lot to digest.
We are in gorgeous place in the mountains, called “the Sattva Center”. My room has a super large window in the shape of an arch where I can see a gorgeous river and a mountain across the river.
I woke up last night to the moon shinning its light on me following the ridge of the mountain from left right. The arch of the window, then the moon arching on the rounded ridged of the mountain. I should have known, I was being blessed.
We are focusing mainly on Hatha Yoga now with a bit of Kundalini but not much. More coming, on the second half of the course.
I’ve been taken a few videos on proper alignment and adjustments (for me to remember how to help others and myself) and in between a few images to remember the beauty of our transformation. Where we started.. where we are heading…
26 students.. Did you know that we have 26 bones in the spine and 26 bones on the foot.. good foundation, I believe WE ARE.
Today, we sat in Satsang with Anand, the owner and spiritual teacher of this beautiful place. It was amazing. He answered most of the questions I’ve had without asking them. I’ve head of this happening with spiritual teachers but I never really experienced it till today. Amazing experience.
A big monkey, the biggest I’ve seen so far, tried to open the door of the studio while the Satsang was happening! (they come mostly when Anand is here). We could see this monkey through the glass door and the windows! impatient and sooo powerful with its movements… it was a bit scary.
The kitchen crew – Lunch & Dinner times – Indian food
The sequences we create and learn from – a different and amazing one each day! We are here to learn and also for such treats? wow!
Such different flowers we all are.. yet such powerful ONE
We were blessed by the unique presence of Gurunam Singh and his powerful music. He had the fortune? to study with Yogi Bhajan directly. I could see the direct influence. He had so many (crazy!) stories to tell about his learning experience with such Saturn teacher!
We did incredibly advanced Mantra and Mudra work with him. I broke through some hidden shadows of mine. Patterns made themselves visible. Although I had a lot of resistance and my mind would rebel and tell me this was all too strange, I was so thankful for the insights and tears that kept coming through. What an amazing experience and what a powerful thing these teachings.
This is probably one of the most transformative and most difficult practices I’ve done, Kundalini yoga, that is. I’m squeezing it all out and then I’m soaking it all up, integrating it in my mind, body, spirit and my bliss body.. so that I can be in service in the future and transmit such a powerful practice.
I’m forever grateful to Gurunam and its kind heart. Also, grateful to Kia for getting him in the schedule. An unexpected treat.
It makes no justice to write about what I learned and unlearned this month. It is deep inside me and I’m taking it, digesting it and then sharing it. My heart feels expansive and I feel like a new me..
