The adventure begins
The water was cool and the trail slippery at times. The scenery, mesmerizing..
Such an amazing refreshing adventure .. and so many details that fade away with time. I write from home now a few months after, I can’t remember all the details yet the feeling is in here, inside, a sense of deep communion with nature.. its rocks and water.. and solitude and dry air .. and the scent of fresh musky desert air .. so deliciously yum.
Now .. for this one the sleeping situation was a total adventure. We slept in a tent in the middle of a crazy thunder storm in a farm with swarming disturbed bee hives and loud peacocks.. A very welcoming and sweet couple were our hosts. We had fantastic dinner at their place, all organic, super conscious. There was no place to buy food near by … so we had not option and it was great! Home made fresh brewed beer and great conversations with them and another couple that were staying at their camper. Total awesome adventure.
The National Park was epic, the hike… splendorous.. Super high altitude made me sick.. headache, nausea.. “mal de paramo” we call it in Venezuela. Nothing that deeeeep breathing yoga and water wouldn’t cure but it took a while..
