April – Spring 2016
Booked this trip 6 moths in advance. When it came the time, I had a million and one excuses why not to go… all resistance to letting go of the busy-ness I tend to gravitate around. Air tickets, festival tickets and everything else was already paid and good to go.. Feeling nervous about leaving kitties, all kinds of things showing up..
We went anyways of course. Landed in LA, went sofa shopping for our new home, visited some galleries in LA and Venice Beach in search of a new place who would represent Daniel’s work.. That area has not clue about Art! – it’s all about really impressive expensive cars and traffic!.. so much traffic…!! )
At the Airport
We visited every possible spot.. Nothing impressed us.. We had a great time though.. super nice.. (ate at Cafe Gratitude and other super amazing restaurants) .. and well, I have to mention that I also went through probably the most painful experience that my physical body has ever felt: a total pinche in 2 of my fingers in an automatic car window.
I was getting out of the car and Daniel closed the windows all the way with 2 of my fingers inside. I couldn’t even scream! from the pain.. I was trying to tell him that my fingers were stucked but couldn’t find the words so I just kept pointing it out to him with signs.. Once he realized what was happening, he opened the window and I collapsed on the ground, screaming and crying. It was like 8pm and the neighbors came out wondering what happened.. ! Someone brought ice and Daniel went to get Arnica.. It was PAINFUL and it took a few hours of pulsing ..and some deep grieving thinking my bone was broken and I wasn’t going to be able to do yoga at the festival..
The pulse went away with Arnica and lots of ice.. and lots of love.. and so we went to the Festival.. Oh I’m so glad we did… total immersion!
and then.. I grew wings..
